Job Summary
Partner with stakeholders across APA to support delivery of Scope 3 goals and lead the development of assured Scope 3 emissions inventories. Drive monitoring and reporting of the Climate Transition Plan implementation while providing trusted climate advice for strategic decision-making and due diligence. Monitor emerging regulations and market developments, then review and enhance climate procedures to ensure they remain effective. Coordinate annual avoided emissions metrics disclosure and embed climate considerations into business decisions. This 12-month maximum term contract is based in Melbourne, Sydney, or Brisbane. Candidates must be eligible to work in Australia and pass background vetting. The role closes on Sunday, 23 August 2026.
Required Qualifications
- Experience delivering greenhouse gas emissions reporting
- Strong understanding of Scope 3 emissions accounting and assurance requirements
- Experience within the energy, infrastructure, resources, consulting or broader sustainability sectors
- Understanding of the opportunities and challenges associated with the energy transition
- Proven ability to coordinate complex programs or initiatives
- Ideally supporting the delivery of climate, sustainability or decarbonisation strategies
- Confidence to provide practical and well informed advice on a range of climate related topics
- Collaborative and influential stakeholder manager
- Enjoy building trusted relationships and partnering with teams across the business to achieve shared outcomes
- 3+ years' experience in climate, sustainability or emissions management
- Demonstrated success delivering climate initiatives and engaging stakeholders across complex organisations
- Eligible to work in Australia
- Subject to background vetting (including Police checks) before & during employment
