Job Summary
Client Transitions Analyst in APAC at Wellington Management, supporting day‐to‐day client account servicing and onboarding. Serves as an operational liaison across internal teams and external parties (custodians, vendors, outsourcing providers) to deliver best‐in‐class service, coordinating cross‐functional workflows within the firm’s risk framework. Responsibilities include analyzing and resolving complex issues, engaging with global stakeholders, developing knowledge across investment strategies and market operations, implementing effective policies and procedures, and identifying process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability. The role leverages APAC market practices and regulatory expectations to tailor the operating model for local client needs and requires 3–5 years of financial services experience, custody/recordkeeping familiarity, strong organizational and communication skills, and familiarity with productivity or low‐code tools.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in the financial services industry, with working knowledge of investment management operations and custodian bank processes
- Experience in investment operations, including custody and accounting/recordkeeping; exposure to operational risk management environments preferred
- Solid understanding of capital markets operations, foreign exchange transactions, and their impact on recordkeeping and client portfolios
- Knowledge of local regulatory regimes and associated operational and compliance requirements
- Strong organizational, analytical, and decision‐making skills, with the ability to manage changing priorities effectively
- Well‐developed interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with global stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and partner effectively across functions and regions
- Advanced degrees, language skills, and/or progress toward the CFA designation viewed favorably
- Experience using productivity, automation, or low‐code tools (e.g., Copilot, Power Automate, Python, HighGear, Alteryx) is advantageous
