Job Summary
Client Tax Manager III within JPMorgan Chase's Financial Investment Services Tax Group. The role oversees a 3rd party vendor-delivered suite of tax services for Asset Owner, Partnership, and Mutual Fund clients, serving as the main tax contact for clients, external reviewers, and client auditors. Responsibilities include proactively identifying and resolving tax issues, coordinating with vendors to ensure timely project delivery, overseeing vendor deliverables, monitoring fund-policy compliance, researching inquiries from clients and auditors, evaluating processes for improvements with management metrics, expanding knowledge of internal systems and fund accounting treatments, and ensuring timely submission of annual information returns (e.g., Form 990 series) to the IRS and state authorities, along with supporting internal and external audits and tax-related obligations.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Work independently and multitask effectively in a fast paced environment
- Possess leadership and people management skills
- Collaborate across multiple business areas and/or functions to deliver results
- Apply strong technical skills including accounting principles and theories
- Utilize analytical skills, problem solving, good critical thinking, and decision-making abilities
- Expertly use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and ability to present to senior management
- Bring 7-10 years of experience in Operations
- Strongly prefer knowledge of Asset Owner, Partnership, and/or 40 ACTs Accounting, including Fund Accounting, Financial Reporting and Tax Operations
- Expertise in IRS sections and regulations related to 501(c)(3) and other exempt entities
