Job Summary
Provide client support for the ASPCA by handling veterinary triage, appointment scheduling, and program logistics; professionally manage contacts via telephone and electronic channels to keep pets and people connected; record complete case histories in electronic systems, document findings, and provide informed recommendations to pet owners and veterinary partners; collaborate with on-site experts as needed, maintain confidential files, and uphold high standards of customer service and case quality; respond to quality assessments and meet service metrics; bilingual Spanish language skills preferred; strong communication, typing, and computer skills; ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to a fast-paced environment; this on-site role is based in Champaign, IL with up to 5% travel welcomed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Customer service/client-service facing experience highly preferred
- Spanish language ability preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Proficient with computers and comfortable learning new software
- Fast and accurate typing skills
- Understanding of medical terminology and basic animal anatomy
- Ability to handle high volume calls and maintain professionalism
- Ability to de-escalate and maintain professional demeanor during difficult interactions
- Occasional Saturdays and holidays may be required
- Travel up to 5% as needed
- Based in Champaign, IL office
