Client Solutions Engineer
$72,000–$90,000 year
On-siteLoveland, Colorado, United States
Job Summary
Lead highly customized electronic and cable/harness assembly projects from initial technical review and quoting through production and delivery. Support projects ranging from short-duration builds to complex nine-month efforts by reviewing customer drawings, assessing manufacturability, and developing labor estimates and material-cost analyses. Serve as the primary technical contact for assigned customers, resolving technical questions, managing quote revisions, and driving decisions to keep projects on schedule. Monitor production progress, identify risks early, and coordinate timely solutions with production specialists while maintaining accurate, revision-controlled production files. Independently manage multiple projects across different stages, participating in weekly internal and customer meetings to ensure clear communication and follow-through.
Required Qualifications
- Strong engineering judgment and the ability to interpret customer drawings, specifications, bills of material, and technical requirements
- Ability to evaluate manufacturing feasibility, and develop practical project assumptions with incomplete or evolving information
- Proactive project ownership: organizes work independently, anticipates next steps, follows through consistently, and drives several projects forward at once
- Clear, confident customer communication, including the ability to ask precise questions, explain technical tradeoffs, coach customers toward decisions, and deliver difficult updates constructively
- Strong prioritization and attention to detail in a high-mix, low-volume environment where repeat designs are uncommon
- Sound judgment in identifying when to resolve an issue independently and when to escalate risk, scope, quality, cost, or schedule concerns
- Working proficiency with Salesforce or a comparable CRM/quoting system, Microsoft Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and standard project documentation tools
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Manufacturing, or a related engineering field; equivalent directly relevant education and experience may be considered
- Experience supporting custom manufacturing, electronics manufacturing, cable/harness assembly, precision machining, aerospace and defense, medical devices, or another highly regulated technical environment
- Experience with technical quoting, applications engineering, project engineering, manufacturing engineering, or customer-facing engineering work
- Familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620, AS9100, ISO 9001, or related quality systems
