Job Summary
Coordinate and oversee tradeshow production, managing shows from planning through invoice collection. Collaborate with clients to gather information, influence decision-making, and manage expectations while handling floor plan management and writing work orders. Oversee service kit creation, set-up, and tear-down, acting as a liaison with show management, exhibitors, and vendors. Ensure all events meet budget guidelines by generating invoices and following up on collections. Fulfill Show Planning processes and manage Key Performance Indicators. Work nights, weekends, and at showsites, adapting to noisy, crowded environments with shifting responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Potential Travel 25-50%
- Opportunity to work nights, weekends and at showsite
- Position may require long hours during several months of the year
- Typically performs work on the event floor, in noisy and crowded areas
- Frequently encounters uncomfortable temperatures, dust and/or other conditions
- Requires working both alone and with others in a team atmosphere
- Requires working with union and non-union employees
- Must be extremely detail oriented and able to multi-task
- Understands and works in lateral work streams
- Must be able to work under pressure
- Requires ability to adapt to multiple settings and shifting responsibilities
Desired Qualifications
- College degree preferred
- (2) year's experience in the tradeshow, convention, hospitality industry or similar experience preferred
- Ability to communicate and work collaboratively
- Capable of running new/modified processes
- Proficient in multisystem management
- Ability to foster customer relationships
- Basic understanding of pricing models/estimation
- Basic understanding of GES and onPeak's Products and Services
- Adhere to all Business Standard Operating Procedures
