Job Summary
The Client Service Specialist executes administrative tasks related to account management and policy servicing for commercial lines, including processing endorsements, renewals, cancellations, issuing certificates of insurance (e.g., EOP, binders), and maintaining accurate account records. Responsibilities include handling endorsements on company websites, following up on endorsements not received from carriers, coordinating with carriers on new business submissions, entering and rating policies in carrier websites, monitoring direct bill payments to prevent cancellations, tracking claims and updating the agency management system, verifying audit accuracy and communicating results to clients, ordering MVRs and loss runs, processing mail, and providing backup coverage for office calls and walk-ins. The role emphasizes adoption of innovative technology, including proprietary AI solutions, to enhance client service, and requires adherence to internal compliance standards. A Property and Casualty license may be required within 90 days; designations such as AINS or CISR are preferred. Strong communication, customer-service orientation, and ability to work both independently and in a team under tight deadlines are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Property and Casualty License from state of domicile may be required within 90 days of hire and must be maintained thereafter
- Associate in insurance (AINS) and/or Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) Designation preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred; may be required, depending on location
- 1+ year experience in Customer Service preferred
- Knowledge of insurance markets, products, services insurance ratings and underwriting procedures preferred
- Working knowledge of commercial lines of coverage preferred
- Proficient in using computers and Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be computer literate with the ability to learn new software
- Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills
- Ability to work independently with limited daily supervision and to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to function effectively under tight time constraints, consistently meet strict deadlines, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks
