Job Summary
Greet clients with empathy and professionalism while coordinating appointments, assisting with emergencies, and processing admissions and discharges. Welcome visitors in a friendly, helpful manner, prepare and maintain medical records, and educate clients on services and policies. Accurately process invoices, payments, and document management tasks including scanning and faxing. Support the hospital team by maintaining a positive, collaborative environment while managing high-stress situations. This part-time role (15-20 hours/week) requires availability for nights and weekends at Vista Veterinary Specialists in Sacramento, California.
Required Qualifications
- Must be available to work nights and weekends
- Willingness and ability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and other shifts as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Veterinary client service or veterinary medicine experience preferred
- Emergency or specialty veterinary hospital experience preferred
- Experience with EzyVet is highly desirable but not required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a professional, compassionate demeanor
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient computer skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and exercise sound judgment in high-stress situations
- Professional appearance and commitment to excellent client service
