Job Summary
Client Service Representative supporting New York Life’s Institutional Annuities and Pension Risk Transfer portfolio. Responsibilities include handling inbound calls from retirees, beneficiaries, financial institutions, and contract holders; interpreting group annuity contracts and retirement certificates to calculate and process retirement and death benefits; processing annuity payments and related transactions; reviewing forms for completeness and compliance; locating participants with due or unpaid benefits; proactively managing an assigned caseload to meet service and quality standards; ensuring alignment with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and audit standards; contributing to process improvements and departmental projects. Key skills include strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, excellent organizational and time-management capabilities, clear written and verbal communication, and experience in customer service within regulated environments. Spanish speaking is a plus; bachelor’s degree preferred.
