Job Summary
Manage assigned agency books of business by addressing inbound and outgoing calls for policyholders, brokers, and agents regarding coverage, billing, and status updates. Process new business applications into the PolicyNet database, maintain accurate client records, and facilitate website user access while troubleshooting technical issues. Provide guidance on Standard Security processes and respond to inquiries with oversight from senior team members when needed. Uphold confidentiality regarding employer and producer information while adhering to NYS data encryption regulations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Valid NYS LAH license(s)
- Must obtain an NYS LAH Insurance License within 3 months of employment
- Must maintain a valid NYS LAH license(s) and continuing education requirements throughout employment
- Must maintain a high level of confidentiality and abide by NYS Data Encryption rules and regulations
- Ability to Travel: Up to 10%
Desired Qualifications
- Related experience
- NYS Life, Accident and Health (LAH) License preferred
- Product/maintenance knowledge (including plan designs, funding, banking, etc.)
- Knowledge of group insurance, products, contracts, and services
- Understanding of state regulations applying to group plans
- Knowledge of underwriting principles and practices
- Demonstrated exceptional customer service acumen
- Strong consulting/negotiation/leadership skills
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- Planning and organization skills
- Multi-tasking
- Proven analytical skills
- Ability to prioritize incoming customer queries and maintain the RSL responsiveness commitment
