Job Summary
Answer and direct phone calls while scheduling appointments across specialty services and emergency departments. Greet clients, maintain accurate patient records, and process payments efficiently. Educate clients and referring veterinarians about hospital services and procedures. Create a warm, welcoming experience for all stakeholders while communicating clearly and professionally. Remain calm and compassionate during emergency situations or periods of high activity. Handle multiple tasks and interruptions to support our medical teams in delivering advanced, life-saving care to pets.
Required Qualifications
- At least two years of recent experience in a veterinary or medical environment
- Outstanding communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of general office practices, receptionist duties, and telephone techniques
- Experience using multi-line phone systems and handling cash and other forms of payment
- Experience maintaining patient records and entering information accurately
- Ability to complete assigned tasks independently and efficiently
- Demonstrated ability to show empathy toward clients and treat animals with respect and compassion
- Fluent English skills (speaking and reading)
- Ability to submit to drug screening
