Job Summary
Provide customer service and process various financial transactions, including opening new accounts and maintaining a balanced cash drawer. Use problem-solving skills to satisfy customer needs in person or via telephone while following all security and regulatory procedures. Generate deposit growth by effectively selling and cross-selling Riverview products and services. Complete computer data entry, prepare reports, and participate in training with passing scores. Maintain daily contact with supervisors and other departments to coordinate operations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 6 months of cash handling/customer service experience
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Ability to promote the sale of products and services through verbal recommendation
- Requires the basic skills associated with the general use of computers and other business office equipment
- Ability to offer flexibility in a changing work environment
- High attention to detail
- Ability to effectively communicate via phone/video, messaging, and email
- Ability to use computer and office equipment such as a computer, printer, copier, as well as computer software such as Microsoft Office
- Ability to occupy a workstation for long periods of time
