Job Summary

Serve as the primary contact for Indigenous entrepreneurs and businesses seeking access to Ulnooweg's programs, conducting initial consultations to assess business readiness and financing needs. Provide client intake, pre-application guidance, and application screening while participating in community events, workshops, and promotional initiatives to drive engagement. Track inquiries and application activity, prepare reports on service outcomes and outreach effectiveness, and maintain accurate records to support departmental planning. Collaborate within the Access to Capital team to ensure timely, responsive support throughout the client's business development journey.

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma in Business Administration, Economic Development, Marketing, Community Development, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in customer service, client relations, business support, financial services, economic development, or a related field
  • Satisfactory Criminal Background Check
  • Valid drivers license
  • Willingness and ability to travel, work overtime, and on weekends as occasionally required

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working with Indigenous organizations, communities, businesses, or entrepreneurs is considered an asset
  • Knowledge of business planning, entrepreneurship, and small business development
  • Understanding of Indigenous communities and economic development opportunities across Atlantic Canada
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams
  • Experience collecting, tracking, and reporting data
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive information
