Job Summary
Support one or more Investment Advisors and branch operations with day-to-day administration and exceptional client service. Coordinate marketing activities including website and social media initiatives, client recognition for life events, and client event planning. Assist the advisory team in preparing for client meetings, scheduling appointments, and handling general requests such as wires, transfers, technology issues, and account openings. Generate reports and documents for IAs and clients, process account items, and maintain the client database and files. Ensure transactions are appropriately assigned, provide team support on technology and policy escalations, and distribute business update information. Follow risk and compliance processes to safeguard assets and maintain confidentiality while completing complex tasks within given rules.
Required Qualifications
- Typically between 1 – 2 years of relevant experience
- post-secondary degree in related field of study
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must meet the licensing and certification requirements for the branch / jurisdiction where the mandate is being fulfilled
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of wealth management company and branch operations (e.g. client services, trust services, account transfers, etc.)
- Knowledge of operational aspects of traditional (stocks, bonds, money market, mutual funds) and non traditional (managed and fee based) products
- Familiarity with technology applications and software used in the financial planning and investment industry
