Job Summary
Manage post-sale trade finance transactions, resolving complex inquiries regarding standby letters of credit, guarantees, and collections while ensuring accurate documentation. Partner with sales, product, and operational teams to investigate disputes, track transaction status, and implement process improvements that enhance service quality. Build strong client relationships through regular updates, training, and engagement activities, analyzing activity patterns to share insights on trends and risks. This Associate role supports sustainable growth within the Trade and Working Capital division, requiring working knowledge of UCP 600 and ISP 98 rules.
Required Qualifications
- Working knowledge of trade finance rules and practices (including UCP 600, ISP 98, and URDG)
- Experience supporting core trade products (standby letters of credit, guarantees, commercial letters of credit, and collections)
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client requests and transactions simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Strong client service orientation with evidence of building and maintaining effective client relationships
- Proven ability to resolve complex issues through structured investigation and sound judgment
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain requirements to clients and partners
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with consistent, accurate follow-through
- Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and navigate competing priorities
- Comfort using case management and workflow tools to track and document work accurately
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Documentary Credit Specialist (CDCS) qualification
- Additional language capability to support diverse client needs
- Proficiency working across multiple systems and tools in a high-volume environment
- Interest in automation and artificial intelligence tools to streamline processes and reporting
