Job Summary
Coordinate service delivery by making referrals for financial assistance, emergency food, shelter, clothing, rental aid, transportation, medical care, and special needs. Act as an advocate with government agencies to secure public assistance and reassess clients to determine if services are progressing according to their care plan. Participate in outreach programs and represent the Program/Region at community meetings while supervising volunteer and intake personnel. Prepare necessary reports, requisitions, and statistics, and provide regular evaluations of client programs to ensure satisfactory progress aligned with the Agency's mission. Maintain accurate records, display sensitivity to cultural and socioeconomic characteristics, and use independent judgment in handling public contact and relations.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of two years of college
- one to three years of related experience
- Principles and practices of organization and administration
- Counseling and assessment techniques
- Plan short- and long- range activities
- Handle public contact and relations effectively
- Maintain accurate and orderly records
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships
- Display sensitivity, tact, and responsiveness in various situations and needs
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Use independent judgment and initiative
