Job Summary
Client Relationship Manager in Fund Finance for a top financial institution. Responsibilities include growing the portfolio of fund finance and private debt clients, structuring innovative debt solutions with the Eastern U.S. MD, completing underwriting, due diligence, and loan documentation, delivering banking solutions (treasury management, FX, derivatives, letters of credit), mentoring Portfolio Managers and Analysts, and traveling to cities in the Eastern U.S. to source business, visit clients, and attend industry conferences. Required qualifications emphasize extensive banking experience, deep knowledge of banking and financial services, ability to win and manage client relationships, understanding of private investment firm structures, and strong communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of banking experience with a minimum of 5 years of direct client relationship management experience, ideally with banking fund finance
- Experience with corporate clients and credit structures
- Thorough knowledge of banking and financial services industries
- Ability to close deals and generate incremental loan outstanding, fees, deposits
- Understanding of private investment firm structures (buyout, fund of funds, VC, senior debt, mezzanine debt)
- Experience negotiating term sheets, structuring credits, and reviewing/negotiating legal documents with counsel
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Ability to collaborate across credit, back-office, and product teams
- Travel to the Eastern U.S. for sourcing and client visits
