Job Summary
Own the full sales cycle for corporate retirement plans, including prospecting, fee reviews, proposals, and closing. Inherit 150-200 existing clients to service via scheduled phone calls and Zoom meetings, while conducting 5-8 in-person presentations at client offices. Proactively reach out to plan participants to discuss allocation adjustments and build a nationwide pipeline of companies for 401(k) fee reviews. Maintain CRM notes and tasks, collaborating with advisory and plan design teams to ensure deliverables. Primarily work in Kingston, NJ with 20% travel.
Required Qualifications
- Experience selling into small and mid-sized businesses nationwide
- Ideally experience in retirement plans, group benefits, payroll, or a related B2B financial/insurance space
- Comfortable being the face of the company in a room full of strangers
- Ability to turn a conference conversation into a real opportunity
- Natural relationship builder who can earn trust with business owners and decision-makers across industries
- Comfortable with a consultative sale
- Thrive with autonomy
- Organized and disciplined about the pipeline and follow-up
- Comfortable with rejection during a sales process without being discouraged
- Extremely hard-working
- Communicate clearly
- Comfortable with travel and representing the alooola brand in person
- Ethical and honest
- Series 65 or willingness to obtain relevant licensing
- Experience working in a regulated industry (RIA, broker-dealer, insurance)
- Familiarity with Redtail CRM
- Must be available for roughly 20% travel
- Must be able to travel to the offices of existing 401(k) plans
Desired Qualifications
- Experience selling retirement plans (401(k)/403(b)), PEO, payroll, or group benefits
- Existing relationships with CPAs, benefits consultants, or attorneys
- Experience or familiarity with medical or other professional practices
