Job Summary

Assess and attend to customers' banking needs, obtaining and processing account information while educating clients on deposit and loan products. Demonstrate available services and recommend financial solutions based on each customer's unique goals. Originiate and close consumer loans, open accounts, and manage branch operations through face-to-face and virtual engagement. Build relationships by adapting a digital-first mindset to explore and identify customer needs.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three to four years of customer service experience
  • Three to four years of sales experience
  • National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z
  • Ability to comply with U.S. Bank policies and procedures including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and related workplace conduct and safety policies
  • Ability to comply with applicable local laws, including the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance and the California Fair Chance Act as well as the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance
  • Ability to comply with the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act (FDIA)
  • Ability to comply with FINRA, NMLS registration, Reg Z, Reg G, OFAC, the NFA, the FCPA, the Bank Secrecy Act, and/or federal guidelines applicable to an agreement
  • Ability to comply with applicable local laws regarding arrest or conviction records for employment
  • Ability to comply with the requirements of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security E-Verify program

  • Thorough knowledge of retail product philosophy, policy, procedures, documentation and systems
  • Thorough knowledge of all retail products and services
  • Proven customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in participating in sales campaigns/promotions
  • Strong mathematical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in the financial services industry
  • Experience assisting less experienced personnel
  • Proven ability to build and foster relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow up
  • Ability to effectively engage and communicate with clients
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable bank and branch policies, procedures and support systems
  • Experience with using and demonstrating digital products and self-service technologies
  • Ability to explore and identify a customer's true needs while leveraging a digital first mindset
  • Demonstrated advanced level of proficiency in making appropriate recommendations that meet customer's needs both reactively and proactively
  • Previous supervisory experience
