Job Summary
Greet clients in-person, by appointment, or virtually to provide counsel on banking needs and process transactions. Build relationships through proactive outreach, asking questions to identify financial goals and recommending deposit and loan products. Open new consumer and business accounts, complete service requests, and submit credit applications while educating clients on digital self-service tools. Maintain a working knowledge of consumer and business banking products to optimize the client experience with operational excellence. Requires NMLS registration under the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z, including a criminal background and credit check. High school diploma required with three to four years of retail banking experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum three to four years of job-related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training
- National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z
- Ability to comply with U.S. Bank policies and procedures including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and related workplace conduct and safety policies

- Ability to effectively engage and communicate with clients
- Thorough knowledge of applicable bank and branch policies, procedures and support systems
- Proven customer service and interpersonal skills
- Experience with using and demonstrating digital products and self-service technologies
- Ability to explore and identify a customer's true needs while leveraging a digital first mindset
- Demonstrated basic level of proficiency in making appropriate recommendations that meet customer's needs both reactively and proactively
- Experience in the financial services industry
