Job Summary
Client Relationship Consultant 1 at U.S. Bank builds and maintains relationships with customers through in-person, appointment-based, and virtual engagements, educating clients on deposit and loan products, processing basic transactions, and guiding clients to digital self-service options. Responsibilities include proactive outreach and follow-up to identify and address clients’ banking needs, collaborating with branch teams, opening consumer and business accounts, submitting credit applications, and promoting digital products and services to enhance the client experience. Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with a solid understanding of bank policies and the ability to recommend solutions that meet client goals.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Typically has a minimum of one to two years of job-related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training
- Ability to build and foster relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow up
- Ability to effectively engage and communicate with clients
- Basic knowledge of applicable bank and branch policies, procedures and support systems
- Proven customer service and interpersonal skills
- Experience with using and demonstrating digital products and self-service technologies
- Ability to explore and identify a customer’s true needs while leveraging a digital first mindset
