Job Summary
Client Principal Architect, Digital (HCLS) leads presales discovery, architecture, and scope-of-work creation for Healthcare and Life Sciences accounts, translating customer requirements into outcome-focused solutions through direct client engagement. The role blends sales, delivery engineering, and customer executive engagement to ensure proposals are desirable, feasible, and viable. Responsibilities include driving digital services sales, understanding current state, leading technical opportunity development, shaping solution approaches, coordinating cross-functional resources, delivering architecture proposals with diagrams and analyses, and evangelizing AI-driven delivery practices. Requires a senior-lev el track record in digital/cloud delivery, architecture/solution design, hands-on cloud/data experience, executive presence with CIO/CTO/SVP-level stakeholders, and a proven ability to bridge sales and delivery while leveraging AI in SDLC and data workflows.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 10+ years in digital/cloud solution delivery and consulting
- 7+ years in architecture/solution design
- 5+ years hands-on with at least one major cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Hands-on experience with modern app and data stacks (microservices, event-driven or serverless architectures; Snowflake, Databricks, or equivalent)
- Extreme ownership, grit, and resilience; comfortable running toward ambiguous, politically complex opportunities and shaping them into structured pursuits
- Strong consultative presales aptitude with a context-first, problem-framing approach and proven ability to uncover real business friction and desired outcomes
- Demonstrated executive presence with comfort leading presentations, whiteboards, and solution discussions with CIO/CTO/SVP-level stakeholders
- Deep background in software and/or data engineering with the ability to review/refactor code or data designs and mentor specialists
- Track record in presales or principal architect/client principal-type roles bridging sales and delivery, driving technical win, and shaping realistic, deliverable scopes of work
- Demonstrated use of AI and automation in the SDLC or data workflows, such as AI-assisted development, testing automation, or GenAI-embedded solutions
