Job Summary
Phlebotomist position at Northwestern Medicine in Crystal Lake, IL. Full-time daytime role performing phlebotomy and lab specimen collection, venipuncture, and related clerical duties including order entry and specimen processing. Responsible for patient communication, adherence to AIDET, specimen labeling, handling, and transport, along with QA/QC record review and safety workflows. Requires high school diploma or equivalent and phlebotomy certification or CMA certification; pediatric experience preferred. Must be able to work Monday–Friday 8:30am–5pm with one Saturday every other month 8am–12pm. Emphasizes teamwork, compliance with ethics and policies, and effective use of EMR systems.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification through a nationally recognized organization or training from a phlebotomy school or medical institution or CMA certification
