Job Summary
Phlebotomist float position for Northwestern Medicine, full-time, performing phlebotomy across client sites in the Detroit metro area (including Lansing and Grand Rapids) with Monday–Friday 8:30am–5pm hours and two weekends per month. Responsibilities include collecting and labeling blood specimens from pediatric to geriatric patients, ensuring proper QA/QC practices, reviewing orders, using EMR, maintaining safety and patient identifiers, and communicating results and issues to client office staff. Requires phlebotomy certification or relevant training/experience, a High School diploma or equivalent, ability to travel to multiple sites, and a professional demeanor. Travel to additional sites as needed; standard benefits and a diverse, compliant work environment are offered.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification through a nationally recognized organization or training from a phlebotomy school or medical institution or one or more years of phlebotomy experience in a healthcare setting.
