Job Summary
Serve as the primary expert resource and first point of contact for clients, researching, analyzing, and responding to inquiries regarding coverage, eligibility, contractual issues, and government reporting compliance. Analyze client data for new and renewal business, conduct market comparisons by obtaining quotes, and partner with executives to develop and recommend benefit strategies. Negotiate premium and commission rates on behalf of clients, provide marketing support to producers, and conduct new business development for your own book of business. Establish long-term service relationships, manage open enrollment processes, and advise clients on State and Federal compliance requirements while maintaining accurate documentation in agency management systems. Requires a California Life and Health License, five years of experience as an Account Manager, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent related experience required
- Five (5) or more years of experience as an Account Manager with a benefits consulting or brokerage firm, or comparable experience with a medical carrier
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and presentation software
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple competing priorities
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
- California Life and Health License required
- Valid driver's license required

- Professional designations such as CEBS, BGA, PHR, or CLU preferred
