Client Delivery Manager

Job Summary
Experienced Client Delivery Manager in card payments leading end-to-end delivery, governance, and client engagements across issuing, acquiring, and payment processing with strong API, ISO 8583, and stakeholder-management skills. Responsible for coordinating multiple stakeholders, conducting discovery and requirements workshops, overseeing release planning and change management, and ensuring successful delivery outcomes in hybrid Malta or remote Eastern Europe/Turkey setups. Fluent English with a proven background in delivering complex card payment programs and driving customer satisfaction and governance across product, engineering, quality assurance, operations, and project management teams.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of experience in the card payments industry
- Hands-on experience in card issuing, merchant acquiring, payment processing, card schemes, or related payment technologies
- Delivery management experience overseeing client-facing projects in acquiring environments
- Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders, technical teams, and third-party providers
- Strong understanding of payment ecosystems, transaction lifecycles, settlement processes, and card payment platforms
- Experience conducting impact assessments, release planning, and delivery governance
- Ability to lead client engagements, workshops, steering committees, and escalation management
- Strong technical understanding of APIs, payment messaging protocols, and integrations
- Experience analyzing payment flows and transaction-related data
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
- Degree in IT/CS or related field (Preferred)
- Experience with payment processors, acquirers, issuers, fintechs, or card schemes (Preferred)
- Knowledge of scheme compliance requirements and payment regulations (Preferred)
- Experience delivering projects across international markets (Preferred)
- Willingness to travel internationally (Preferred)
