Job Summary
Supervisor of Client Care Coordinators (Social Workers) delivering services to homeless families. Oversees intake assessments, development and completion of bio-psychosocial assessments, crisis intervention, counseling, client advocacy, and referrals to government/community resources. Ensures recommendations of achievable goals are implemented on each family’s service plan to achieve permanent housing and strengthen permanency outcomes. Manages and supervises a team of Client Care Coordinators, including recruitment, training, supervision, evaluation, and scheduling to meet program objectives. Guides coordinators in program goals, handles administrative/operational issues, assigns cases, ensures timely bio-psychosocial assessments, works within a multi-disciplinary team, enhances mental health service delivery, ensures clear documentation and reporting, collaborates with DHS and community agencies, develops group work, facilitates housing referrals, and supports exit planning with referrals. Provides on-call crisis intervention, participates in inter-agency conferences, and travels within the NYC area as needed. Requires LCSW in NY and 3-5 years of relevant experience; schedule includes late shift once weekly and travel within NYC area.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in NY
- 3-5 years of experience in social services/counseling/crisis intervention/housing homeless services
- At least two years of supervisory experience in social services
- Knowledge in supervision of social workers; client assessment; service plan development; case management
- Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe
- Bilingual Spanish a plus
