Job Summary
The role oversees shift operations to maintain a safe, compliant, and efficient environment while providing hands-on guidance and support to staff, volunteers, and interns. Key responsibilities include staff oversight with review of prior shift reports and incident logs, ensuring continuity of care and operations; managing daily operations and resident routines (Emergency Shelter protocols, shower schedules, clothing closet procedures, and medication monitoring as applicable); completing intake processes for new ES clients (screening, Pause List review, SO checks, HMIS data entry); maintaining accurate documentation logs (visitor/donation tracking, green logbook, shift summaries, HMIS data accuracy and compliance); communicating and documenting shift updates and concerns for handoff at 12 AM; making recommendations to improve efficiency; overseeing facility cleanliness, kitchen upkeep, trash removal, and weekend deep cleaning; ensuring adequate welcome kits; and performing other duties as assigned. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or Equivalent, at least 2 years of client service experience, empathy and conflict resolution/deescalation skills, experience with homelessness, mental illness, and trauma, and proficiency with Microsoft, HMIS, and databases. Skills emphasize commitment to social justice and equity, ability to work with diverse populations, strong time-management, and a self-starter with adaptability to urgency.
Required Qualifications
