Job Summary
Review estimates, discuss financial options, and process payments for clients. Handle high-pressure situations in a calm, supportive manner while managing multi-line phone systems and digital records. Process payments and navigate internal software with proficiency. Maintain organization and excellent verbal/written communication skills during evening shifts. This role supports the emergency team at a multi-specialty referral practice serving the greater Richmond area.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be willing and able to days/evenings and weekends
- Must be well organized
- Ability to handle high pressure and stressful situations and events in a calm supportive manner
- Ability to review estimates, discuss financial options, and process payments
Desired Qualifications
- Vocational certificate/diploma in business or office administration
- Experience in the veterinary or medical field
- High volume receptionist experience
- Proficiency in multi-line phone and computer systems
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Proficient typing skills
- Comfortable navigating digital records systems
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to quickly learn how to use internal company software systems
- Friendly, poised and have a client focused approach
