Job Summary
As a Client Care Specialist at MSPCA–Angell West, you’re the first point of contact for clients in a veterinary hospital, delivering an exceptional client experience. You welcome clients with warmth and professionalism, check in appointments and emergencies, answer phones, respond to inquiries, and manage admissions and discharges with clear instructions. You’ll process payments, support pet food sales and prescription pickups, and help coordinate communications between clients and the veterinary team. You’ll assist with onboarding and mentoring new team members, collaborate with staff to ensure smooth operations, and provide updates to clients about hospitalized pets. The role also involves gathering essential clinical details for triage, explaining emergency workflows and financial expectations, and serving as a financial liaison during admissions. You will work in a fast-paced environment, uphold safety protocols, and contribute to a values-driven culture focused on compassion, integrity, and excellence.
Required Qualifications
- 1–2 years of customer service experience
- Strong communication skills — clear, compassionate, confident
- Ability to stay calm, organized, and focused in high-energy environments
- Comfort with computers, phones, scanners, and multitasking
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs
- A genuine passion for helping animals and the people who love them
