Job Summary
Assist producers and marketers with all aspects of servicing commercial accounts, including processing documentation like Certificates of Insurance, Cover Notes, Renewals, Proposals, Endorsements, In-House Policies, Invoicing, Finance Contracts, and Customer Correspondence. Review insurer policy documentation for accuracy before forwarding to clients, take calls to answer coverage questions, and accept/process online quotes. Negotiate with insurers on coverage and price to meet client needs while updating client information as changes occur. Provide policy and coverage information to clients, lawyers, and banks upon request. Answer account-related questions from clients, lawyers, and banks, and support the floater position with minimal regular duties.
Required Qualifications
- Level 2 Insurance License or willingness to obtain
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency
- Motivated to help support a diverse team and contribute in a team environment
- Minimum of one year commercial insurance experience as an Insurance Advisor
- Pro-active and a self-starter with a keen attention to detail
- Strong customer service focus with the ability to deliver positive client experiences and meet their desired needs
- Demonstrated ability to communicate (written and verbal), present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
- Works well in a fast paced, client-focused environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- 1-2 years of relevant experience
- No Travel Required
Desired Qualifications
- Industry designation an asset (CIP, CAIB, CRM, General Insurance & Risk Management Diploma – BCIT)
