Job Summary
Serve as the initial contact for new client intakes and appointment scheduling; match new clients with the mental health provider that best fits their needs; educate clients about insurance, authorizations, provider policies, and payments; enter client data accurately; meet personal/team qualitative and quantitative goals; assist with emotionally challenging calls and refer clients in crisis to appropriate resources; no prior medical or insurance experience required as in-depth training is provided; this is an in-office, full-time role with rotating shifts within operating hours and weekend coverage; responsibilities emphasize client education, compassionate communication, and efficient data handling in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of customer service experience in a fast-paced customer support role
- Resilience to handle challenging conversations with empathy
- Strong communication skills (phone, email, Microsoft Teams)
- Multitasking and time management
- Problem-solving skills to match clients with appropriate provider
- Commitment to improving access to mental health care in the community
