Client Care Coordinator

Job Summary

Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments with families to identify strengths and service needs. Provide short-term counseling, crisis intervention, risk assessment, safety planning, and psychoeducation for homeless families. Collaborate with child welfare agencies and service providers to advocate for families and facilitate appropriate referrals. Facilitate group work sessions and quarterly family meetings to discuss planning efforts and progress. Educate shelter staff on best practices while maintaining strict confidentiality and adhering to all organizational policies. Perform rotating weekend coverage and occasional travel for training or administrative tasks.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Social work or related field
  • LMSW licensure or within three months of hire
  • Certification in First Aid, CPR
  • Knowledge of child and adolescent development, emotional/behavioral health, mental health, parent-child relationships family dynamics, and diagnostic classification
  • Strong expertise in strength-based, solution-focused, and family-centered practice
  • Knowledge of guidelines, policies, and regulations relating to child welfare, safety, permanency, and well-being
  • Knowledge and experience working with diverse cultures and ethnicities
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Rotating Weekends coverage
  • Must be able to walk up and down stairs (about 10 flights)
  • Ability to Ascending or descending stairs and ramps using feet and legs and/or hands and arms
  • Ability to Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist
  • Ability to Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees
  • Ability to Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine
  • Ability to Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction
  • Ability to Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks
  • Ability to Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time
  • Ability to Raise objects from a lower to a higher position or move objects horizontally
  • Ability to Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers
  • Ability to Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm
  • Ability to Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word
  • Ability to Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels
  • Ability to Perceive attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature or texture by touching with skin
  • Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work
  • Inside environmental conditions

Desired Qualifications

  • 2 years related experience
  • Previous work experience with homeless population, MICA, or Veterans community
  • Proficient in computer software programs (Word, Excel, Power Point, CARES, etc.)
  • Bilingual
