Job Summary
Certified Care Attendant (CCA) at UHN West Park Healthcare Centre in Toronto (2C, Stroke/Neuro). Responsibilities include following KARDEX for patient care needs (meal assistance, transferring, ambulation, toileting, hygiene, grooming), executing individualized care plans, documenting changes, responding to call bells, supporting the healthcare team, operating lifts and wheelchairs, maintaining a safe environment, and adhering to hospital guidelines. Requires PSW certification, HSCPOA registration, and related healthcare experience; 15 hours per week, days/evenings, permanent part-time, with potential safety and patient-care duties as part of a multidisciplinary team. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent
- Current registration with the Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority (HSCPOA)
- Personal Support Worker Certification from an Ontario college program or Accredited PSW educational program
- Experience preferably at least one year of full-time equivalent work experience within the past three years
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in working collaboratively within an interprofessional environment
- Ability to follow directions and work independently
- Fundamental computer skills (Microsoft Word, Internet, Outlook)
- Demonstrated satisfactory work performance in current or previous roles
- Strong attendance and punctuality
- BCLS certificate preferred
