Job Summary
Perform ongoing bookkeeping for multiple client accounts, including transaction entry, journal entries, reconciliations, and recurring close deliverables. Support higher-volume client assignments, manage timelines across a broad client portfolio, reinforce standard workflows and internal controls, assist with onboarding and coaching of staff, review work for procedural compliance, and maintain open communication with clients to resolve routine bookkeeping matters. Requires an Associate’s degree and 3-5 years of bookkeeping/general ledger experience; familiarity with QuickBooks Online; GAAP knowledge; ability to balance multiple client deadlines; and strong attention to detail and communication skills. Flexible to remote/hybrid work arrangements across approved U.S. cities (Long Beach, Portland, Austin, Atlanta, Cleveland, Dover).
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- 3-5 years of progressive bookkeeping or general ledger experience
- Experience using accounting software systems (e.g., QuickBooks Online)
- Prior experience in a professional services firm
- Experience supporting multiple clients with recurring monthly deadlines
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and general ledger structure
- Working knowledge of GAAP
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to manage month-end close processes across a portfolio of clients
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
