Job Summary
Conduct pharmacy risk assessments and evaluate claims trends to mitigate stop-loss exposure and control specialty drug spend. Analyze high-cost claimants, gene therapies, and GLP-1 utilization patterns while monitoring PBM performance, contract guarantees, and rebate arrangements. Prepare executive reports, stewardship reviews, and client presentations to support pharmacy benefit program optimization. Collaborate with internal departments, PBMs, carriers, and vendors on procurement, implementation, and renewal activities. Monitor emerging therapies and market trends impacting employer plan costs. Full-time role with a target salary of $62,000-$70,000 annually.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, Pharmacy, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in PBM account management, pharmacy consulting, stop-loss, employee benefits
- Strong understanding of specialty pharmacy, formulary management, manufacturer rebates, and PBM operations
- Experience evaluating pharmacy claims data, financial reporting, and pharmacy risk trends
- Knowledge of stop-loss principles and high-cost claimant management
- Strong client-service, relationship management, and project management skills
- Advanced Excel, reporting, and presentation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
