Job Summary
Lead the Client Advisory Services (CAS) team delivering bookkeeping and payroll engagements, serving as the primary client contact and ensuring deliverables meet client expectations. Supervise and mentor staff, review workpapers for quality and compliance, and produce monthly, quarterly, or annual financial statements using cash basis or accrual accounting. Provide guidance on complex accounting matters, nurture high-quality client relationships, and drive growth of the CAS practice. Ability to work independently and within a team, with in-office responsibilities at Cranberry Township and potential hybrid scheduling after training, plus travel to client sites and events as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting (preferred)
- Minimum of 7+ years of related bookkeeping, accounting, and/or financial analysis experience
- 3+ years of experience in a client-facing leadership role, including managing a team and developing/growing the CAS business
- Knowledge and experience with payroll processing and related tax fillings
- Active CPA or CMA strongly preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite and accounting software (i.e. QuickBooks, Accounting CS, Sage)
- Advanced knowledge of general ledger accounting and principles
- Strong attention to detail and ability to think critically
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized with good time management skills
