Job Summary
The Client Accounting Coordinator at Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP is responsible for reviewing, processing, and posting client bills to the accounting system ensuring timely processing as directed by the billing attorney. Key responsibilities include auditing client bills for accuracy and compliance, assisting attorneys and billing assistants with billing guidelines, managing client billing-related inquiries, and coordinating accounts receivable collection. Candidates should possess a high school diploma and three years of relevant experience, with strong skills in communication, organization, and software applications essential for managing multiple billing tasks. A preference for candidates with familiarity in law firm billing practices and accounting systems is noted.
Required Qualifications
- Three years experience in billing or related accounting activities
- Excellent communication and people-oriented skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong word processing, database and spreadsheet software skills (i.e. Word, Access, Excel)
- Ability to generate a large volume of work
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and listening skills
- Accurate typing and attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to maintain flexibility regarding work assignments
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with law firm billing practices
- Law firm accounting system experience
Additional Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, reach, stoop or bend, at times repetitively
- Visual acuity needed for transcription and reading
