The Client Access Representative (CAR) plays a crucial role in facilitating client access to mental health services, acting as the first point of contact for individuals seeking care. This position requires welcoming clients, actively listening to their needs, identifying barriers to care, processing referrals, managing communications, and handling administrative tasks including billing and scheduling. Candidates should have a High School Diploma, 1–3 years of relevant healthcare experience, and a valid New York State Driver’s License. Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong organizational skills and a commitment to helping others.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1–3 years of experience working in a physician’s office or similar healthcare setting
- Solid understanding of Medicare/Medicaid and third-party insurance payers
- Valid New York State Driver’s License
