Job Summary

Monitor and update all PEIMS data required for federal, state, and local reporting in a timely manner. Interface with campus staff regarding the Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) and report accordingly. Correct and assist personnel with data compliance issues such as eSchoolPLUS, PEIMS, PID, PET, and Texas Records Exchange (TREx) for final administrator review. Meet weekly and every three weeks with the Registrar, Assistant Registrar, and Data Stewards to ensure PEIMS coding accuracy for transcripts, enrollment, discipline incidents, and grades. Manage grade reporting, including entry, verification, and distribution of report cards and progress reports. Assist the liaison for Home Access Center, Teacher Access Center, and eSchoolPLUS Admin. Ensure accuracy of enrollment verification counts, membership reconciliation, and permanent records data. Prepare PET discrepancies and TREx requests for administrator review. Maintain confidentiality of information and provide an organized, secure working environment. Remain updated on local, state, and federal policies regarding PEIMS. Pass the Spring Independent School District's Certification SIMS Course within the first six months of employment.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma from an accredited institution
  • Thorough knowledge of federal, state and local laws and board policies pertaining to public education student information management systems, processes and procedures
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral forms with all levels of organization, both internal and external
  • Ability to comprehend the Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) and implement guidelines at the campus level
  • Ability to manage and impart confidential information
  • Skills in assessing and prioritizing multiple tasks, projects and demands
  • Excellent organizational and presentation skills
  • Excellent skills in the use of computer software with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to maintain emotional control under stress
  • Pass the Spring Independent School District's Certification SIMS Course within the first 6 months of employment

Desired Qualifications

  • 60 hours or more of college coursework from an accredited college or university
  • five or more years of experience with public education student information management systems
