Job Summary
Join Scotts Canada Ltd.'s Shipping Department for an entry-level clerk position responsible for yard cleanup, pile covering, load preparation, and loading/unloading products. Candidates must work safely, possess reliable transportation, and work well independently and in teams. The role requires capacity to work overtime and under varying environmental conditions, as well as physical ability to lift weights up to 50 pounds. Preferred skills include operating forklifts and holding a Class 1 driver’s license. A CPIC check is required for applicants, excluding current associates.
Required Qualifications
- Work safely and display a good attitude
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Capable of working overtime
- Capable of working in a dusty environment and in cold and hot conditions
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Meet minimum performance standards
- Experience operating an articulated forklift or willingness to be trained
- Class 1 driver’s license or competence operating a yard jockey with automatic transmission and air brakes
- No physical restrictions limiting the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment
- Provide a CPIC (Criminal Record) Check
