Job Summary
Greet park guests, collect daily conservation fees and concession rentals, and verify credit card transactions while maintaining individual ledgers. Direct public complaints to division managers, provide information on park amenities and policies, and perform sand removal, trash hauling, and ground upkeep as needed. Balance cash receipts, reconcile tills, prepare daily deposit reports, and maintain both automated and manual accounting records. Liaise with supervisors, vendors, and citizens regarding park functions while explaining procedures. Requires a high school diploma, one year of clerical experience, and a valid Texas driver's license. Subject to a six-month probationary period and Civil Service exam.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- one (1) year of experience performing clerical and/or support work in the field of public relations
- any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job
- submit to a Civil Service Clerical Exam
- exert medium physical effort in medium work
- lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of medium weight (20-50 pounds)
- climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motion at a keyboard or work station
- perceive and discriminate sounds and visual cues or signals
- communicate orally
- regularly performed with exposure to adverse environmental conditions
