Job Summary

Conduct clerical support for the Ontario Breast Screening Program and manage diagnostic mammogram bookings within the Brockville General Hospital Mammography department. Participate in in-services and hospital-wide activities promoting a safe, patient-centered environment while contributing to quality improvement and risk management initiatives. Requires secondary school diploma with post-secondary training in office administration, a Medical Terminology Certificate, and at least three years of experience in a diagnostic imaging or healthcare clerical role. Must demonstrate strong communication skills, multitasking ability, and tactful interaction with staff, patients, and the public. Works day shifts Monday to Friday from 0800-1600.

Required Qualifications

  • Secondary School Diploma with a required post-secondary training in office administration or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Medical Terminology Certificate or equivalent
  • Minimum of three year experience working in a clerical/administrative role within a diagnostic imaging department or health care environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Internet and Microsoft Explorer
  • Demonstrated excellence in spoken and written communication
  • Able to multitask and prioritize with minimal supervision
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure
  • Demonstrated work experience with focus and ability to relate in a tactful and sensitive manner with staff, patients and the general public
  • Ability to organize work tasks and work independently
  • Good attendance and availability
