Job Summary
Clerk of Works responsible for ensuring approved materials and workmanship are used, and that construction is carried out as per the Construction Drawings with correct dimensions, levels and locations. Inspect WPC’s work in stages and witness testing as requested by WPC; prepare written notes detailing points needing attention in concurrence with the RE; verify rectification or agreement before work is covered; inform WPC and ARE if Safety, Health, and Environmental requirements are not met. Requires Diploma/Bachelors in Civil Engineering or related field, minimum 7 years site supervision experience (ideally in road/bridge projects), Certified Inspector of Works, and knowledge of Malaysian regulations and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma/Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum 7 years proven working experience in construction site supervision, ideally in road and bridge projects
- Certified Inspector of Works (registered under the Board of Engineers Malaysia)
- Solid understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and quality assurance processes
- Knowledge of Malaysian construction regulations and safety standards
