Job Summary
Inspect completed building fabric maintenance works to ensure compliance with contract specifications, statutory requirements, and Client quality standards. Provide day-to-day technical supervision of operatives delivering planned, reactive, and minor works across multiple historic sites in Central and West London, while monitoring labour allocation, productivity, and resource utilisation. Coordinate site access, deliveries, and operational activities within occupied buildings, ensuring all activities adhere to approved Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and heritage conservation principles for Grade I, II*, and II Listed Buildings. Monitor compliance with NEC3 Term Service Short Contract, CAFM-generated work orders, and service level requirements through weekly operational and monthly contract review meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Significant experience supervising building maintenance or construction activities
- Previous experience as a Clerk of Works, Site Supervisor, Building Inspector or similar technical role
- Experience inspecting workmanship across multiple construction trades
- Experience working within occupied buildings and operational environments
- Experience managing quality assurance and inspection processes
- Knowledge of planned preventative and reactive maintenance contracts
- Experience using CAFM or other computerised maintenance management systems
- Sound understanding of building construction methods
- Sound understanding of traditional building materials and techniques
- Sound understanding of heritage conservation principles
- Sound understanding of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
- Sound understanding of Reactive maintenance
- Sound understanding of Quality assurance processes
- Sound understanding of Building pathology and defect diagnosis
- Sound understanding of Health & Safety legislation
- Sound understanding of CDM Regulations
- Sound understanding of Asbestos awareness and management
- Sound understanding of Fire Safety legislation
- Sound understanding of NEC3 contracts
- Sound understanding of CAFM systems
- Sound understanding of Microsoft Office applications
