Job Summary
Clerk of the District Court II overseeing the Riley County District Court's civil, criminal, limited actions, probate, and juvenile functions. Responsible for coordinating activities and subordinate personnel to ensure efficient, effective, and court-wide compatible case processing systems and procedures. Requires knowledge of legal terminology, ability to perform personnel management in a high-paced environment, and relevant clerical/legal experience. High school diploma or equivalency required with three years of clerical experience (including court/legal experience); college coursework may substitute for up to two years of experience with at least one year of court clerical or comparable experience required in addition to substituted college work.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from high school or equivalency
- three years of clerical experience including at least one year of court clerical or other legal experience
- course work at an accredited two- or four-year college or university may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for up to two years of the required experience, except that at least one year of court clerical or comparable experience is required in addition to any college work substituted
