Job Summary

Manage civil, criminal, probate, traffic, juvenile, and personal property tax functions within the 31st Judicial District's trial level court. Coordinate activities and supervise subordinate personnel to ensure efficient case processing systems and procedures. Maintain complete knowledge of computer programs including accounting, docketing, traffic, budget, and judge's docket. This highly supervisory, administrative, and participatory role requires experience in personnel supervision, records management, and customer service. Graduation from high school and four years of clerical experience, including at least two years of court clerical or legal experience, are required. Work is performed under the supervision of the Chief Clerk Administrator and the chief judge.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduation from high school
  • Four years of clerical experience
  • At least two years of court clerical or other legal experience
  • Course work at an accredited two or four-year college or university (substitutable year-for-year for up to two years of required experience)
  • At least two years of court clerical or comparable experience (in addition to any college work substituted)
  • Experience in accounting
  • Experience in personnel supervision
  • Experience in records management
  • Experience in other court related duties
  • Experience in customer service
  • Experience with personal computer technology
  • Experience with software applications
  • Experience with local area network systems
