Job Summary
Support campuses to engage families of emergent bilingual students by planning district-wide events and parental engagement programs that meet Title III requirements. Collaborate with community stakeholders to promote the Bilingual Education Department's vision while connecting with district personnel, schools, and families. Provide clerical support to campus LPAC paraprofessionals, assist with district-wide EB documentation in Ellevation, and conduct audits of cumulative records including Home Language Surveys and language assessments. Attend professional development sessions to fulfill LPAC and Title III compliance. Requires fluent English and Spanish, keyboarding proficiency, and ability to travel across assigned campuses.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Fluent in English and Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking)
- Attention to detail and organized
- Ability to effectively communicate with district personnel, schools, the community and families
- Keyboarding and computer proficiency
- Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds)
- Frequent district-wide travel
- Travel across assigned campuses
- May work prolonged or irregular hours
