Job Summary
Clerk Diet responsible for clerical duties supporting the Nutrition and Food Services Department in implementing patient nutrition care plans. Tasks include obtaining diet orders and patient information, using CIS/CBORD, performing diet-related calculations, generating reports, communicating with patient units and team members, managing diet orders and menus, maintaining inventory and supplies, ensuring safe food handling and temperature controls, coordinating with Dietitians and Diet Technicians, and assisting with meal service and tray-line operations. Requires basic nutritional knowledge, accuracy in documentation, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to work evenings in a hospital setting. Minimum qualification: High School Diploma or GED; English proficiency; basic computation ability; experience with CBORD and hospital systems preferred.
