Job Summary
Enter data from attendance forms for each class period and maintain daily attendance reports used for Average Daily Attendance. Print verification forms every two weeks, prepare weekly reports, and maintain records of student identification numbers, demographic files, and extracurricular participation lists. Check students in and out, verify PEIMS records, and keep accurate excuse notes on all student folders. Supervise student office assistants, maintain a master phone list, and prepare attendance letters to parents every nine weeks. Work 197 days with moderate physical demands including standing, walking, and lifting. Research district policy prior to action, participate in drills and safety exercises, and demonstrate Core Values of trustworthiness and respect. Maintain friendly interactions with students, teachers, and administrators while utilizing time wisely for effective job management.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3 years general office experience
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Proficient computer skills
- Strong organizational and file maintenance skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain concentration while performing duties
- Ability to maintain emotional control under stress
- Moderate standing, walking, lifting, and carrying
- Prolonged sitting at computer
- Repetitious hand movements
